Description

Coastal Connection Vancouver is an initiative that unites professionals involved with research, assessment, management, and conservation of marine and freshwater environments. CCV provides a setting for academic, government, non-government and industrial organisations to meet and create opportunities for collaborative synergies in the fields of aquatic and marine conservation.

We invite you to join us for an informal evening of networking in the spectacular waterfront setting of Science World’s Eureka gallery.

We will have a series of short talks on the topic of:
“Crossing Boundaries - Borders, Ecosystems, and Knowledge”
Our speakers are John Reynolds (Simon Fraser University), Tess Baker (Stantec Consulting Ltd) and James Casey (World Wildlife Fund, Canada).

Appetizers and beverages will be served, with a cash bar available. We are also excited to announce an exciting door prize which will be given away at the end of the night. Skipper Otto's Community Supported Fishery has donated a membership with an $100 credit for one lucky CCV attendee. Please bring your business cards to enter the draw.

Registration on EventBrite is free, but we will also be collecting a
$5 event support fee payable in cash at the door.

We hope you can attend, and look forward to making some new connections!

Please note that there will be photographers present at this event and, by attending, you consent to the use of your (flattering!) image in our web and email communications.

Our event could not take place without the generous support of our sponsors:

Science World at TELUS World of Science
Hemmera Consulting
The University of British Columbia Fisheries Centre
Simon Fraser University Biological Sciences
Vancouver Aquarium
SMRU Marine Canada
